  4. Peel and stick the Guava Tag onto a location where you usually log, like a water bottle, coffee maker, or pill bottle.

If you're unsure, check your device specification to see if it supports NFC.

What can I use Guava Tags for?

Guava Tags can be used for anything that is important for you to track for your health. Some of the most common uses include:

You can customize Guava Tags to fit your unique lifestyle and health needs. For instance, you can set up Guava Tags to discover insights about how effective your new compression socks are, how video games affect your sleep, or how salt intake affects your flare-ups.

Can I log multiple things from one Guava Tag?

Guava Tags allow you to log multiple items of the same category. For example, you can use the same Tag to log all of your morning meds or multiple symptoms that commonly co-occur.

Can multiple people use the same Guava Tag?

Yes! Each person can choose what the Guava Tag logs for them. This means the same tag on the coffee machine can log a cup of coffee for you but a latte for someone else.

Can I edit my Guava Tag once I set it up?

Yes! You can change what a Guava Tag logs for you at any time.

  1. Log into Guava and tap the menu in the top right, then tap Guava Tags.
  2. Select the Tag from the list that you want to change.
  3. Tap "Edit" in the top right.
  4. Configure your new logging action.

What are the different ways to log data with Guava Tags?

You can configure your Guava Tag to either tap to log immediately (e.g. 30 minutes of yoga or morning coffee) or have it ask you for specific information based on the entry type (e.g. mood rating).

What surfaces can I stick Guava Tags on?

Guava Tags are adhesive on the backside, so they should work on most hard surfaces, including slightly curved items like your water bottle or a food container.

You can always peel them off and re-stick them somewhere else, although they might lose some stickiness.

Pro-tip: If you’ve refilled a prescription with the same pill container, you can re-use the bottle cap with your Guava Tag to avoid re-sticking it. You can also change the medication type and dosage associated with the Tag if it’s a different prescription.

Here are some places you can put your Guava Tags:

How durable are Guava Tags?

Guava Tags are generally durable, but their longevity depends on how they’re used and wear and tear. For those not subjected to harsh conditions, they can potentially last years.

Are Guava Tags water-resistant?

Yes, Guava Tags are water resistant - but we do not recommend long periods of exposure.

Do they require batteries?

No batteries required! As long as your phone is on, you can tap the Tag.

Are Guava Tags secure?

Guava Tags do not store any of your information themselves, so even if you lose your Guava Tag or if someone else scans your Guava Tag, they wouldn’t know what the Tag was set for or any other information.

I have a compatible device, but nothing happens when I tap the Tag.

Scanning the Guava Tag opens Chrome or Safari instead of the Guava App.

Make sure you don’t have any settings on your phone that disable NFC capabilities for the Guava app. You can also try re-installing the Guava app to see if that resolves the issue.

What’s included in my Guava Tag order?

Your order should contain 10 Guava Tags, which are small, white tags with the Guava logo.

We also included some colored stickers with icons for you to optionally stick on top of your Guava Tags to differentiate or decorate them based on what you’re logging. Feel free to personalize your Guava Tag in other ways or use your own stickers. If you customize your Guava Tags with your own art, feel free to share them with the Guava team on social media!

What are the dimensions of Guava Tags?

Guava Tags are circular and 1 inch wide. They have about the same thickness as a postcard.
